我想他说的waste是指我的background去it找工作希望太小，这是一种时间的浪费。
modeling的经验加上一定的programming可能更容易在finance这个行业找到机会。
虽然意识到时间晚了些，但不会认为自己离开纯的research是浪费。能力平平，也就是
一匠人。

If you are really good at python, shell scripts, you might in a good market.
Openstack is written in Python.
HP/Cisco/Rackspace/IBM/Yahoo/Mirantis are expanding in IaaS cloud market
with OpenStack.
Many local startup with devops in minds are also hiring.
You can go to meetups with similar topics to self promote. They usually give
15-second for each one try to hire or find a job.
Try to find a headhunter in this area. The g hirinprocess is quite fast.
HPC sector however is not very hot right now.
