SCA5在进入众议会投票前，要经过教育委员会和选举委员会的批准. 如果我们能够阻止
批准是最有力有效的应对方案。
这两个委员会的组成均为5名民主党，2名共和党，主席都是湾区的众议员。
Joan Buchanan 是教育委员会的主席，获得她对华裔的支持很重要。

3. 如何约谈 Joan Buchanan?
华人朋友打了电话给三谷区的Joan Buchanan. 她一周四天在Sacramento , 要视
issue 紧迫性才可能安排在San Ramon office 的meeting. 她的助理Patt Perlow is
very nice 告诉可直接发email 给她，如人数众多，她会尽快安排Joan 同我们会面。
请大家行动起来写信给她。

This letter is regarding SCA-5 that we, as a group of 16th district
residents, urge Assembly Buchanan to vote to "No" on SCA-5.
SCA5 seeks to repeal provisions of Prop 209 and allow the State of
California to discriminate an individual or group's rights for getting
public education on the basis of race, sex, and ethnicity. I strongly
believe that racial preference on some races in college admission is racial
discrimination on others. It also violates the Equal Protection Clause of
the Fourteenth Amendment. Regardless their race, sex and ethnicity, all
Californians should deserve equal opportunity in college admission.
I strongly urge you to vote "No" for SCA5. Alone or joining other concerned
residents, I would like to make an appointment to discuss this urgent matter
with you ASAP.

A meeting with Joan Buchanan, the state assembly member for district 16 was
scheduled on 03/14. District 16 include Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, Alamo
, Danville, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, San Ramon or Walnut Creek. We are
trying to recruit 15 representatives to meet her in San Ramon. To diversify
the team, Indian friends and other minorities are very welcome. If you are

But this should not just
be an Asian-American issue, it should be about what America really stands
for. Is this a country that discriminates against the successful, or one
that rewards those who work hard? Most of my Caucasian friends are very
upset about this rule too. My campaign manager is the grandson of Italian
immigrants, he is proud to say they came to America at a time where The
