会在声势上震动两党。只要在选民统计上拉平民共
比例，两党都不敢贸然而动。

所以宣传的时候重点还是要大家注意6／3的初选要参加，选共和党。如果能注册一下那
就更好了。

I hate to send long email. But after being asked by many people and groups
, I would like to share our experience for people in California assembly
district 16 fighting against SCA 5.
First soon after we learned SCA 5, Nancy Chen contacted incumbent assembly
member in our district Joan Buchanan. We have scheduled a meeting with her
on 03/14. Instead of reaching out her as individuals, we coordinated our
effort and will meet her as a group. Before the meeting, we will do a lot
of preparation. One thing we did is that we created a Google form and asked
people to sign in order to support us in fighting against SCA 5. Here is

As of 02/25 6:55am, there are 606 signatures collected. We will submit this
signature to Joan when we meet her.
Second we try our best to seek professional advice in our district. I will
have one on one meeting with my friend, San Ramon Mayor, this afternoon and
use him as a political adviser for our battle against SCA 5. Also I have
talked with Republican candidate in our district, Ms Catharine Baker. She
is a lawyer and her husband is former state senator. She is clearly on our
side against SCA 5. I will schedule a small group meeting with her and
seek advice from her for our fight and the preparation for meeting with Joan
. Also I have initiated contact with the other three democratic state
assembly candidates in our district. Since they are all democratic, we will
use them as a bargain with Joan. One thing to point out is that district
16 is battle group. 6 years ago before Joan, Republican Guy Huston held
this position. Since Joan is termed out this Nov, Republican tries to take
it back while democratic tries to keep it in their pocket. We can leverage
that to grow our group.
Third, we have a plan for the future after the SCA 5 fight. We do not want
to see people get dissolved after the event. Instead we take advantage of
the SCA 5 fight to get people in our district organized. We formed an
Assembly District 16 voters wechat group. In just few days, it has reached
100-member limit in wechat. Now I have moved it to Facebook. The group
name is CA 16th Assembly District Residents. Here is the link:

For our group, we have already connected with Republican Asian American
outreach group in northern California. They will provide advice to us and
will help us build a professional political group. One thing I would like
to clarify is, although we get a lot of help from Republican party, we have
not promised them anything. We will vote independently. But we will do
collective vote. Our plan is that before the election, we will vote in our
group. For the candidate who wins the majority of our vote, our group will
endorse him/her. All our donation and votes will go to that candidate. By
doing that, our voting will be much much more powerful than voting
individually. For me, when the election gets close, I plan to take a whole
Oct and early Nov off and full time to help the candidate. Please join me
if you have time.
Last, we try to get help from as many people as possible, no matter they are
register voter or not. At the same time, we have advice for all people,
not only people in district 16. Please pass this around to your community/
group as much as you can.
1. If you are qualified for US citizen, please apply ASAP. We will try
to help to speed up the process so that you can swear in before Oct 20th in
order to get registered for voting in Nov.
2. For those who are citizens, please register to vote. Here is the link
3. For those registered voters, please do not register with either
republican or democratic party. Swing voters are the most valuable ones.

那就是为什么可以打摇摆牌。甚至南加Irvine和SanDiego都可以。
但是硅谷一定要投共和党，因为 D vs R 悬殊太大。
