Dear Concerned Resident:
I know that SCA 5 is of great interest to you, so I wanted to provide you
with this update.
I want to be clear that I do not support the bill in its current form. I
have heard your concerns, and I’m working with the author to address them.
SCA 5 is not moving forward anytime soon. The bill is currently at the
Assembly Desk and has not been referred to any committee. It will be taken
up on the same schedule as a two-year bill from the Senate to the Assembly,
which means after June.
When the bill moves forward there will be a chance for you to speak out on
SCA 5. The bill will be heard by a policy and fiscal committee before it is
voted on by the entire Assembly.
I also want you to know that SCA 5 does not and cannot establish
discriminatory quotas. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that quotas in
education admissions are illegal. Further, last year, the U.S. Supreme Court
took a case on whether race can be used at all in school admissions and
will rule sometime before June.

但是如果能够修改的话，那11月中期选举后republican如果能够超过1/3，
那就可以终止sca5了。

西裔，就算法律规定“strict scrutiny",能相信他们会在实际操作中
strict scrutiny吗？ 到时候亚裔大幅度降低录取率，你也抓不到他们
没有strict scrutiny的把柄。相反，有sca5改宪法撑腰，他们几乎
就可以为所欲为了。

that it is OK to vote YES on SCA5.
They are never trustworthy. Vote them down is the only way to kill SCA5. |

标准，表现差的西裔和非洲裔往往得分比亚裔高很多。但是你不能明说。 而是现在有
２０９，给很多学生告ＵＣ的标准。比如我听说一个小中男，成绩非常好，ＢＥＲＫＥ
ＬＥＹ不收，家长威胁要告，ＢＥＲＫＥＬＥＹ立刻收了。但是现在SCA 5 一过，你告
都不好告了，人家可以明确说，因为亚裔太多，我要照西裔，非洲裔。现在在PROP。
209 的框架下，学校不能用这个理由， 真凭成绩，立刻就看出不公平的地方。

不会有真正的民主。sca5就是民主党企图利用super majority强行在参，众院通过。这
次选举一定不能让这种局面再次出现。六月三的初选对我们来说尤为重要。因为初选的
投票率只是普选的一半左右。如果我们的投票率高，就很容易在初选显出来。
