A concerned teacher forwarded me an email from UTSC [the SCUSD teachers’
union] stating that the union is basing its Election Day efforts at the HOME
of a school board candidate.
This level of collusion between school board members and the teachers' union
must STOP.
The entire teachers’ union contract is up for negotiation this year.
District residents elect a board of trustees to represent the community’s
interests at the bargaining table. The union selects its own
representatives.
If the union controls BOTH sides of the table, the taxpayers of the district
have NO representative.
We urge you to vote TOMORROW for the two Libertarian-endorsed candidates,
Dr. Christine KOLTERMANN and Dr. Michael HELMS. They are education leaders
who
will be INDEPENDENT from special interests and will advocate FOR district
students and taxpayers. |
