This class is designed for those who have no programming background but wish
to learn programming skills. No matter you are a middle school student,
high school student, college student or working professional, as long as you
wish to learn programming, this class will be a good starting point.
Python is favored by first-time programmers because it presents engineering
concepts in a straight-forward way. Also, python offers programmers easy-to-
understand syntax and usability. It takes care of the tedious and error-
prone details that older languages have not taken care of.
Topics include:
The Python environment and code introspection
Built-in data types: strings, tuples, lists and dictionaries
Syntax: flow control, function protocols, exception handling and functional
programming
Object-oriented features: classes, inheritance and overriding
About the instructor:
I am a working professional holding a master's degree from a prestigious
university. The schedule and materials of this course is carefully prepared.
My previous students favors my teaching style because I always explain
concepts to students in a clear and interesting way. My course is never
tedious. Programming is really fun.
Fee:
$30/hour usually 2-3 hours per class.
Discount: if you and your friend(2 people) take this class together, rate
would be $25/hour per person.
Totally 6 classes.
Initial class is designed to have total of 18 hours to cover the important
topics. This may vary according to your acceptance level and the amount of
after-class hours you are willing to devote.
