该男子称此行动是以阿拉真主的名义，因为不满Trump对待少数族裔，并表示不后悔。
被撞的这位曾赴阿富汗作战的退伍老兵，认为这是一次恐怖袭击：”He was just
trying to target as many people as he could,” Alcala said. “He was just
trying to cause a pile up. It wasn't me personally. It was as if someone
were to throw a bomb in the middle of downtown, it’s no different, it’s
the same thinking”.
