There is a feature article about him on Wired Magazine. He certainly was
not as famous as Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, or Robert Heinlein.
However, after his untimely death, he became a Hollywood magnet.
Here are some of the movies adapted from his fictions:

Imposter (I suspect few people watched this)

Actually, I just finished reading _Paycheck_, not bad a short story, but I s

发帖数: 82482 | 3 This is hardly surprising. Philip K. Dick's worlds usually are dark,
distopia, comparing to those of Arthur C. Clarke and Asimov. He is obsessed
with totalitarian, machine vs human, drugs, and memory, reality, etc.
I read an interview of him. During the 50's, he was the target of the FBI
for possible subversive proclivity and drug abuse. His _The World Jones
Made_ gave me such a great impression that I totally understand why his
worlds is so depressed.

isn't it?
