I think I posted once before, but not sure if it was on this

Probably it's not what you wanted. I remember two books of Martin
Gardner were published in China in the early-mid 80s.
1. 啊哈，灵机一动 (Aha, insight!)
2. Shu4 Xue2 Bei4 lun4 Qi2 Jing3 (This is the ine i mentioned above).

There is a Pulitzer-prize winning book called "Godel, Escher and Bach",
An Eternal Golden Braid that also discussed paradoxes and Godel theorem.
I ordered the book from Amazon.com a couple of years ago, it was out of
print then, back now the reprint came out shortly after.
It also had a Chinese version: "GEB - 一条永恒的金带“

Exactly, that is also an interesting/exciting book. If I get it
right, "GEB - 一条永恒的金带“ was one of the "Zou3 Xiang4 Wei4 Lai2"
books (published in mid 80s). Actually, it's one of my favorite
in that series...

发帖数: 13 | 6 The book Godel, Escher and Bach has a complete tranlation in about three years
ago. I bought one, it costed about 50 yuan. It is supposed to be a better
translation. And its subtitle is changed from 一条永恒的金带 to
集(G)异(E)壁(B)之大成(?)
since 一条永恒的金带 was said to be confusing in Chinese. The other day,
I even found it in online bookstore Hanlin
BTW, even the Chinese language is not easy to understand bad translation?),
I guess it will be pretty hard for us to read it in English. |
