I think you should discribe this problem clearly first.
Question for you: what kinds of magnetic field are you talking about? Static
field (frequency=0) or induced field (frequency>0 Hz) by an external source?
I guess most of the time, people refer to static field.
If that is the case for you, you should secondly try to figure out (find) the
permeability of the ferrite ball.
