science, EE, and somewhat physics and chemistry. It's relatively easy to
attract funding and also news media, but difficult to make breakthrough.
Europe (esapecially Germany), Isreal and Japan are probably doing better than
USA, partly because of the stronger support from their government and higher
energy pressure in their countries. In USA, National Renewable Energy Lab in
Colorado is the best place for new PV technologi | a***n 发帖数: 578 | 2 Depend on what kind of solar cell.
for Si or solid solar cell, it is in applied physics.
for organic solar cell, it is in chemistry.
Recent 5 years has tons of breakthroughs.
Sweden has a best group at TiO2 dye solar cell. Germany... seems to have
pretty good group. not sure.
USA is best at solid solar cell(MIT) and nano organic solar cell(Berkeley)
stuff.
Japan is not good at solar cell cause it doesn't have enough area to install
solar cell. just check Jap's burget you will find it still focus |
