This is a Full Time Position
Pay Rate: 150k +
We need a strong leader who will inspire and get the most out of our
talented and passionate team. Our needs skew more towards technology team
manager vs. direct contributor. Someone that will help facilitate critical
discussions and help the team reach the right conclusions. Someone that
will provide strategic context and focus the team efforts on our shared
priorities.
Key aspects of VP Engineering role (prioritized order):
1.Engineering team/people leadership. Important that this candidate shares
our team values: integrity (self-critical), passion (optimistic about
mission), curiosity, quality, judgment, teamwork (assumes positive intent),
and courage.
2.Roadmap execution and management.
3.Technical strength and vision with experience in consumer internet.
Experience and successful track record in building on open source technology
stacks in distributed/cloud environments. Experience in agile/iterative
development process and tools/techniques. Experience with high volume/
distributed data processing/analytics.
4.Strong eye for talent and people network. Great recruiter.
5.Ability to contribute directly as programmer.
