On 01/21, PSBJ, the Puget Sound Business Journal is running a special
section on software applications. The focus will likely be on handheld apps
, as the section will be called the App Report. I would like to collect
some of your thoughts on legal aspects of app development that you have ever
thought of or encountered. This may turn into a piece between 550-750
words.
Do you have any legal concerns while developing apps for handheld devices?
Or is there any legal obstacles that are preventing you from doing any app
development, or further development on some platforms. Are you worried
about trademark, or any other types of Intellectual Property related
infringement? Or are you more concerned about general business related
legal issues, such as contract, returns and refunds, etc. Which legal
framework among the three big platforms (Apple, MS, Android) are most
suitable for you, etc. There’s no restriction on what type of legal
concerns you have, so long as it is legal related. And there’s no
restriction on what types of software app that you develop either, so long
as it is handheld related.
Think of this as an opportunity to have your name, or your app’s name
appear on PBJS. But your feedback before 12/15/2010 is necessary for me to
make a determination whether I can draft this piece.
