Q: I use Microsoft Office 2007 for most computer activities on my PC with
Windows 7. I have tried to set my Word and Outlook defaults to 12 pt. Times
New Roman, which are my preferred size and font. However, when I cut or copy
something that is 12 pt. Times New Roman in Word and paste it into Outlook,
it usually shows up as Calibri 11 pt. Sometimes things show up in other
fonts and sizes when pasting. Is there some way to make 12 pt. Times New
Roman the default, so I don't have to reformat after pasting?

A: When you paste text from one Office program into another, it should by
default retain the formatting you used in the source program. But it's easy
to apply the formatting of the destination document in Office 2007 by
clicking the Paste Options drop-down and then choosing Match Destination
Formatting.
To enable the Paste Options button, click the Office button, Word Options,
Advanced, scroll to "Cut, copy and paste," then check "Show Paste Options
buttons."
