这 2012 版好像改进了一些，广告上说有个省油的版本能到 40mpg highway
反正肯定要跌价的

2008－2010的Focus是美国本地产的垃圾，没有必要考虑。
新版的Focus是欧版的，所以卖得好，价格高。

The new Focus is well built and has received many good reviews. Car and
Driver (and other car magazines) really likes it. The main complaints are
the automatic transmission (so you should consider manual), and the tight
back seat (relative to other similar cars). the hatch is a plus for extra
luggage. Don't bother with the older Focus. Being new, it's harder to
negotiate price. Try the Costco auto program for perhaps better price; also
contact all the dealers' internet managers within 200 miles and get them to
bid on price.
Golf is a good car - it's THE family car for the average European family.
Reliability probably won't be as good - typical of VW, but among VW cars
Golf is likely the most reliable. Golf's interior quality is quite good.
Hyundai's new Elantra is something you should take a look at, if the sedan
format works for you. Consumer Reports really likes it. Great warranty
also.
My personal favorite economy car would be Honda Fit Sport - inexpensive,
reliable, fuel efficient, tons of cargo room, and the automatic even has
paddle shifters. It's probably the best Honda product among the peers.
Both CR and enthusiast magazines like it.
