anything this movie brought to my mind the following paradox. We are always
shocked whenever we learn the identity of a serial killer, and we realize
how ordinary he was despite his evil. In contrast, with Hitler, we are so
overcome by his evil that we are surprised and shocked to see how ordinary
he really was. I think the last dinner, with Hitler slouched over and
slurping his ravioli gives good illustration to how ordinary he could be.
Hitler's ordinariness makes him human, and a lot of people find that
frightening.
