Almost a software company at heart. Software/Technology is almost entirely
built in house. Data scales out at the peta-byte level. Environment is
highly complex and has the look and feel of an HPC research lab. Technology
viewed as a profit center, not merely a cost item. Successful development
hires from Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc. Professors, Post Docs, and PhD
students have also been hired into this organization. Full benefits, 401K
with match, voluntary deferred comp plan, strong relocation. New office

· Software Developer. Java, Linux/Unix, distributed/large scale
systems, parallel programming, optimization, socket programming, TCIP/IP,
multi-threading. Work at a Hedge Fund that feels more like a software firm.
Development is mostly core Java. You'll need to have worked with Java at
some point. You are expected to have good fundamentals with OO, Design
Patterns, Algorithms, and Data Structures. Environment is HPC.
· Financial Systems Developer Java/NET Developer. Sharepoint, Java,
C#, Groovy and Web Development
· Data Analyst: Unix/Linux Scripting, Perl/Java, and data intensive
background. Data scales at the peta-byte level. Most hires in this team
come from Post Doc?s or teaching positions. This role goes far beyond than
just analyzing data (HOUSTON ONLY)
· Data Developer: work on building, maintaining, and improving a
proprietary data environment that scales data at the peta-byte level
· Research Engineer Developer: Linear Algebra, OO development,
developing simulators. A computer scientist first that can cross over into
the quantitative side
· Low Level Developers: C, FPGA, Python, device drivers, compilers

· Looking for a C/++ Developer with a desire to develop code with
tight latency constraints. Ideally, the want someone from a tech shop or
start up and not from a finance firm. Exceptional compensation, relaxed work
culture, catered lunches, and relocation in the form of a sign on. The
client is doing HPC work mostly on Windows. If you can?t get over that, then
that might be an issue J

Quant Hedge Fund
· Data scientist/data analyst: Unix/Linux, experience with large
data sets at teraybyte level. Hybrid data/development background. C/C++, SQL
, fundamentals in data structures. Algorithms, command lines of Unix/Linux

HPC Lab with one of the largest Linux Clusters in the world.
· Product Manager: They built one of the most advanced super
computers in the world. The work they do is aimed at drug discovery and
protein folding. This person will set the direction and roadmap for phase 3
of their supercomputer. We placed the Director in the group and have good
visibility into the position. Compensation is significantly above industry
norms. The firm is also hiring Hardware and Chip Designers.

Brief overview:
· C++ and C# openings across many of the leading prop trading firms
· Groovy, Ruby, Python / OO developers ? publicly trading tech shop with
agile mentality.
· Java/.NET web roles with smaller mobile start ups and software firms
· Project Manager with experience leading Agile Technical Projects. This
person will probably need to come from a development background. (SAN Fran
