接下来两周又要来西雅图了，求推荐路线
这一周10/5-10/6 基本只有一天吧，周五晚上飞到，周日下午一点的飞机。
估计去Mt Rainier看看？
下周和朋友一起来的
周五到，一半人周日晚上红眼回去，另一半周一晚上红眼回去
所以是2-3天。
打算去North Cascades NP来个2+1的backpacking。
第二天晚上的时候朋友可以exit，剩下的人可以继续玩一天的那种线路
求推荐！！！！

Spider Meadow and Phelps Basin: it's quite popular, and might be crowded if
weather is good.

Heather - Maple Pass Loop: this is a rather short loop. But you can try out
scrambling to top of Black Peak via South Ridge, class 3 rock. Anyway, the
trail passes several lakes, and camp besides Wing lake, right under massive
Black peak, and view of cascade mountains. And few miles driving from
trailhead to Washington Pass for nice view of Liberty Group.

Just talked to a friend who works for the Forest Service in the Mount Baker-
Snoqualmie Forest. She says that all trails in MBS are open, and that the

State Route 20, the North Cascades Highway, is open to traffic however
federally managed facilities including parks and campgrounds alongside it
are closed.
As I remember, there is gate for the parking area, so I'm afraid that it
could be closed. It's possible to park outside of the gate and walk in. It's
short path to trailhead.
The elevation of those lakes are pretty high. Due to recent snow falls &
cold temperature, for sure it would be deep snow there. Bring hiking pole &
microspike, and warm cloth, if you decide to go. But Crampon & ice axes are
not necessary unless you plan to climb south ridge of black peak.

周日本来飞机是1点飞，就去kenny park看了看space needle和Mt Rainier
还有Pike market。当然最后飞机晚点到7点半才飞走，每次又是3小时3小时的通知，
所以一直都在机场里面呆着。
这周还要来的，看天气预报还是好天。决定去你说的那两个地方看看，除非其余人全部
反对。

周六去了Ingalls，因为上午去了REI garage sale又租snowshoes什么，出发较晚，到
TH都下午了，所以只走到peak没有走到湖边。snowshoes也没用上。
第二天走的Maple Pass loop，因为第一天没用上snowshoes，第二天也没打算带上。结
果雪很深，快到山顶那块，一脚脚都陷进雪里，经常走着走着，一条腿整个没进去了，
走得还蛮不容易的，但风景特别好，天气也好极了。湖一般般。
9月到现在来了三次西雅图了，这里的户外资源可真丰富，羡慕死了。
下次再来就要12月了！

non-valcanic peak in Washington, and it has quite few classic rock/ice
climbing routes to summit.Unfortunately, Ingalls Lake is hiding behind a
hill, not showing her face if at Ingalls Pass, need a bit more hiking to
enjoy the alpine lake view.
Maple Pass loop， did you try Black Peak south ridge? It would be a long day
if doing single day push, especially with such deep snow. Did you get to
the wing lake? Camping next to wing lake would be a nice treat, in any
season.

一直在关注这个trail，不过现在的体能，一天18迈/6000尺心里没底。backpack还没玩

From left to right: South Early Winter Spire, North Early Winter Spire,
Lexington Tower, Concord Tower, Liberty Bell. Each tower has several rock
climbing routes to the summit, including Liberty Crack (one of the 50
classics). Easiest one is Becky route 5.6.
And there is a supertopo book for Washington Pass rock climbing, if you are
interested in it.

. Hard to say which is better. You can get almost guaranteed good weather in
July/August, but need to win lottery to camp there, which is rather hard.
Other month, weather is a big concern, since you have to plan way ahead. Up
to July 4th, most years there would be plenty snow in core zone. Mid-Oct is
about the peak time for alpine larch, again good weather is a bless, and you
have to play the bet.
