发帖数: 18403 | 5 Hmmm, up to you guys. I don't believe in a single message for all slogans.
A sea of "fire Kimmel" or a sea of "peace love forever".
I want a photograph that would tell a story. Some of us are Chinese
Americans, others are Chinese. These are just some of the more positive
slogans to choose from. The negative slogans are ok with me as long as
they are not too extreme.
Chinese owe the USA, it's a fact. Tsinghua came from US repatriation of
Chinese war debt, and USA was the first one to start doing it. It was a
generous gesture and as a Chinese, I am grateful to the US.
Then you need to remember many great hospitals in China, many universities,
many scholars were funded by the American people. Japan risked the Pearl
Harbor because the US was sanctioning and boycotting Japan during
the Sino-Japan war. And needless to mention that America practically
single-handedly defeated Japan and gave us a seat on the UN security council.
I might also remind you that the US opened up its market to China after
1970s, and helped us lift a billion people out of poverty. The US
practically invented concepts such as "equality", "racism", "women's rights"
, etc etc. I as Chinese, I feel I owe the American people a great debt.
Shall I go on? Our ancestor said once: the kindness of a drop of water, we
repay with a spring of gratitude. So I said: "We owe you, You owe us, we
are partners in peace". You are free to agree or disagree.
Everyone is free to pick their own slogans, together we make a story with
the sign we hold up to the world. This story began a long time ago and
continues today as the story of China-US relationship, our prejudices and
our mistakes, our cooperation and our betrayals, our hopes and our concerns
as Chinese Americans. |

交部应该叫消气部，送钱部，……

买买提群众浪费时间。

I put down the Chinese debt on one side, and US debt on the other side. I
think 1.3 trillion is not a big deal. According to 韩信， each meal freely
given to a hungry man is worth 1000 gold. We Chinese owe the US a lot
more.
That‘s why I find the little kid's "kill all Chinese" suggestion so very
ill-advised...

只是竞争关系。总的来说合作比对抗多的多。

China for anything wrong in USA, and China has somehow used the 1.3 trillion

A lot of people failed to get your memo either. This kind of loaded
question is VERY manipulative even for adults. I bet 99
out of 100 nonlawyers would miss it. Let alone a 6-year old. Kimmel
trapped the kid into saying something outrageous, he aired the clip for
laughs, then he blamed the kid for it claiming he did not agree with it and
we are humorless goons to not to get his joke. |

involved, we will loose support from other minority communities. to most us
citizens, they care more about school shootings than us-china relationships,
so we really should put our group effort on one spot which is easier to get

It's too nerdy and does not appeal to many people (not everyone works in an industry that uses those terms!)
