I write to you a truly humbled man. Moments ago, my campaign manager called
to inform me of some very big news.
As of 1:00pm today, my campaign for California State Senate has reached an
amazing milestone. We have now officially broken through the $100,000
fundraising goal and are moving strong towards our goal of $150,000 for this
quarter which will conclude at the end of next week. We will continue to
push towards that goal and God Willing, break through it just as we have
with the $100,000 milestone. You can help us reach that goal today, by

On February 27, my team organized an incredible kick-off event for me at the
Decathlon Club in Santa Clara. As we approached $50,000 raised for the
campaign, we began to earn tremendous grassroots support from the Silicon
Valley Chinese Association, energized by the State Senate's passing of
Senate Constitutional Amendment 5 (SCA 5). This grassroots organization
focusing on "Developing a strong career network for Chinese Americans and
uniting behind candidates and politicians who will fight for their interest"
went into action. I have many incredible supporters, but the work they
have done over the last week has been nothing short of miraculous. I'm
blessed by their friendship and support.
Last week my team joined several grassroots organizations at the "No on SCA
5" Town Hall in Cupertino to fight against the unjust Senate Constitutional
Amendment 5 bringing racial quotas and affirmative action back in to the
college admissions process at our beloved UC and CSU system. SCA 5 is not
the reason I decided to run for office, but it has become an important issue
not just to Asian-Americans, but to all Americans.
The media blitz to my campaign has been amazing, and has allowed me to
further my campaign platform of economic growth, improving education, and
providing energy solutions. Additionally our success has me proud to
formally announce the addition of a Communications Director to my team.

Friends, the "American Dream" knows no color, no ethnicity, no gender, no
religious preference. The "American Dream" knows only the limitations of
each individual working to achieve it. As I believe each person's potential
is infinite, I will continue to make sure that our State Legislature
operates in a manner that recognizes, "That All Men are Created Equal!"

resident, has the opportunity to achieve his or her own "American Dream."
