is out and the weather is good, or it isnt (out or good). The Mountain is, of
course, Mount Rainier, the 14,410-foot-tall dormant volcano that looms over
Seattle on clear days; and though it looks as if its on the edge of town, its
actually 90 miles southeast of the city.
The mountain and 235,625 acres surrounding it are part of Mount Rainier
National Park, which was established in 1899 as the fifth U.S. national park |
