. But demand for hard-core quant is not as exciting as before in buyside.
The several bailed out banks are very cautious in hiring any non-US
applicant. That's a main barrier; plus developer jobs are more available
than quants.
Definitely local applicants have advantage over the overseas, unless you are
someone so unique that companies would like to pay for transportation for
interview & relocation.
