Also turn the DIN way down before you store them for the summer.
Storage wax is basically waxing without the scraping (plus use a cheaper wax
). Turn the DIN down will give the spring prolonged functional life.
When skis' bottom are exposed to air for a whole summer, the material
oxidizes and becomes more fragile and easy to break off. It's also harder to
wax later on since wax doesn't adhere to it as well.
