dynastar contact 8, which is great for racing on groomers, but not too good
for all mountain. don't know about fischer white heat. buying a system is
less hassel though.

for me. regarding the bindings, I'll go to the loacal shop to have them ins
talled and tuned -- my ld is having her skis tuned there, anyways.

发帖数: 2254 | 9 K2 apache stryker is good all mountain ski, size 118/74/103 makes it stable
on both groom and ungroomed terrain.
Dynastar contact 8 is more like a curving ski, good for groomed runs, but
will be painful on crud.
No idea about fischer white heat. Fischer is a good brand for Randonee skis,
not sure about their downhill products

deal for a set of all-mountain gear for intermediate. If they don't work fo
r me (which is unlikely considering I really can't tell what is working and
what isn't), the resell value shouldn't be too bad. I can't complain about s
pending a total of $300 on this $1000 set.

I am pretty sure you can use them on most of terrain, even on double diamond
runs.
My boots and skis are all for intermediate level, plus,my skis are not good
for crud at all, but I use them everywhere, from groomed run to powder, from
crud to mogul.

Actually, maybe I do not buy any Alpine skis any more, I am switching to

发帖数: 2254 | 15 Yes. It has two modes, climbing mode, in which you can lift your heels and
put climb skins under the skis. This guarantees you to climb up to 30-35
degree slope on skis.
The other mode is downhill mode, in which you lock your heels, like alpine
downhill ski. You can get down a mountain like a alpine skier.
However, I think the one you saw in ski resorts is telemark, which you can
always lift your heels.
