发帖数: 408 | 1 I bought a pair of black diamond knee pads in addition to my wrist guards
for iceskating after falling on my right knee last time. It was a painful
fall, it forced me to cut short my skiing trip, and took more than a month
to heal. It hurt much more than skiing falls, more dangerous than extreme
skiing in a way :)
The pads are quite slim and comfortable and I feel much more at ease skating
, though I have not fallen on my knees yet again. It is a good utilization
of equipments that don't get use |

发帖数: 3311 | 3 Hi, dude, you figure skating? It's true skiing is so much easier to learn
and won't hurt at all as skating when you fall.
I now use knee braces when skiing but no protection at all when skating on
hockey or speed skates. But again if you are doing figure and jump/spin
stuff you need to be protected. We do not recover as fast as kids anymore,
haha...

发帖数: 408 | 5 Yes. I am. But only the basic stuff to kill time while my daughter is taking
lessons. Not spinning/turnning tricks yet. You don't need to be doing those
tricks to fall badly, just catching the toe-pick carelessly can send you
plunging face down, painful :(
