Where: Snowbird.
What: close to mid-season form, powder, 60” mid-mountain.
Who: me solo; at the end of the day I met up with a rider with mitbbs ID
from DC area - one of the four came.
How: on top of the mountains - complete white-out, cold, strong wind,
snowing but more than 1-2ft of fresh powder on packed snow. On the lower
bowls things were much calmer but less powder.
The best: not many people at all - no waiting at chairs.
The worst: the white-out, windy condition, and driving down the canyon ~1hr.
Definitely the best Thanksgiving skiing I know of. |
