complete white-out day on the top and windy I may add( yeah, as if Alta was
much better).
How bad you asked? All the chairs on top were marked “Expert Only” – for
whatever it’s worth. Not only the catwalks to either Road to Provo or
Path to Paradise were closed but good luck in finding them. They were
completely covered with new snow and blended in with the natural slopes.
The Mineral Basin had 2-3ft of new powder. Without trees in the compete
white-out, I got dizzy. I had a few falls and struggled to get out of the
deep powder. Little Cloud wasn’t much better either, so I had to bag it.
Talking about “试金石“，it doesn’t get much more than that, in-bound that
is. Oh, I saw one young lady just carried the skis walked down the Big
Emma.
The good news was Gad2 was open and not too many people at all. The trails
were covered with new snow in every 15min or so (each run) – yahooooo!!
It’s most definitely the best powder day of the year to me and the official
snow pack was 78” mid mtn and snowing….
In summary, Alta and Snowbird are definitely in the mid-season form. If you
come this Xmas, it will be, no doubt, the best Xmas for years, so you’d
better bring your fats, dude… |

周六类似，本雪季第一次snowbird。请问little cloud西边至last choice一直未开？
上了little cloud去后山，容易的都关着，傻了眼，硬着头皮下了silver dipper，以
前都是敬而远之的。雪很好，就是雾太大，能跟上前面老师的身影没趴下，还是很增加
自信心的。
山寨Onedge，“黑道是鞋的试金石”，过午后，下山找lift house磨鞋去了。

something similar to ice-skating here in the east. But ... ironically, most
best skiers come from the east because there is not much opportunity for
you guys to carve there in the powder.
