1285 | 5 I agree that flat terrain is hard for riding the snowboard. But it's also
where you can test out your balance control of your board. Again ... ALWAYS
ride on the edge, which will give you better balance control.

F**********e 发帖数: 2135 | 6 i third (or 4th/5th) that riders hate flat. I had my worst falls on greens
too, and then i got this habit to always ride on edges. however recently i
found the need to not ride on edges, for examples, when trying to dial in
the desired speed and direction before a jump, or when trying to maintain
speed when there is a long flat slope ahead, while carving is not possible.
Just asking you guys if you have met the same situations? Or it's only me? |

1285 | 8 Thanks for responding my post. About "long flat slope", as long as it is
not total flat like a catwalk trail, you still can ride on the edge. I am
not talking about carving. Riding on the edge to draw a long big radius
curve makes you faster than riding on flat board bottom straightly ... and
with more control over the board.
Practice - when you are at home, practice this to increase your balance
control:
both feet on toes or both feet on heels, while bending your knees. try to
hold as long as possible.
With that stance, you can ride on edge on very almost-flat terrain.

1285 | 11 BTW, you need to have a good board to ride on edges. Mine is Burton
Customer, which is stiff enough. When it is on the edge, the feel is like
using a razor.

On the flat one, I skate.
