o******s 发帖数: 1364 | 1 I came back on the slopes after two years being inactive. Seen a few posts
on skidding and overuse of leg muscle. I had similar but slightly variant
issue here: it seems that I gain speed too fast, probably due to my
overweight body (seems counter intuitive from physics). This makes me try to
slow down quite often and burn out my muscle easily. I tried carving and
making complete turns but with the quick accumulation of speed even within a
single turn it takes quite wide space to do that, which is rare on black
runs. Wonder if this is weight issue or stance issue? Anyone had similar
experiences? | E*******e 发帖数: 1371 | 2 需要练小回转?

| s*******r 发帖数: 1285 | 4 "... after two years being inactive." -> So you need some time to bring you
back to your average level.
"... gain speed too fast ..." -> Could be caused by many reasons.
"overweight body" -> This won't be the problem because balance is the key.
" ... making complete turns ..." -> Good!
" ... single turn it takes quite wide space ..." -> Your skis might be the
real problem. Are you on shaped skis? If so, try to ski on shorter ones.

| c****u 发帖数: 584 | 5 速度快才好carving. carving 很难转小弯,
现在有复古的趋式,大家发现还使all mountain 更实用。找一些宽的ski, 练练怎么
release edge。 |
