MILAN – Speaking to SKY, during the match build-up, technical director
Marco Branca commented on Andrea Ranocchia and his lack of involvement in
this evening’s game against Cesena: “Although we weren’t obliged not to
play Ranocchia, we chose not to involve him in a bid to avoid any
complications. Tonight, Inter v Cesena is a rescheduled Week 16 game and we
signed him in the January transfer window, so in theory he was still a Genoa
player in Week 16. I hope this rule gets clarified once and for all and as
soon as possible, also because there are other clubs like Fiorentina, Genoa
and Sampdoria, who have some games to make up from before Christmas and have
been active in this transfer window.” | m*******e
