Sunderland stars Lee Cattermole and Nicklas Bendtner have been arrested and
released on bail after cars were damaged in a city centre.
The 23-year-old duo were held by Northumbria Police having been arrested on
suspicion of criminal damage and bailed following an incident in Newcastle e
arlier this month.
A spokesman said: "Police can confirm that on 15 December two men aged 23 we
re arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. It follows an investigation int
o cars damaged on Stowell Street in Newcastle city centre which happened abo
ut 10pm on 6 December. The two men have been bailed."
