发帖数: 257 | 1 自己对文科其实很有兴趣 但是现在读的是 EE的PHD 来美国快一年了 发现自己的兴趣
不是在理工科上 当时其实本科毕业也有过申请文科专业的想法 但是比较担心学费和奖
学金的问题 所以没有尝试 现在想尝试一下 不知道文科专业的奖学金好不好申请 或
者说授奖的条件一般是什么 比如EE的教授很多是以自己的实验室为单位从NSF NIH
NASA等等的funding angency 得到funding 然后把PHD学生招来作为RA 支付学生学费和
生活费 不知道文科教授是通过什么方式得到funding 因为文科很少有实验室一类 也似
乎不存在RA 换句话说作为文科专业的学生可以用什么方式为教授做点什么 来赚取
自己的学费和工资 谢谢

formal theory in political science (for example, Duke Univ.) I think that
you can do some programming (C++, FORTRAN, Java, etc.) for the professors of
quantitative areas.
If you can do statistics, that is a big plus. Almost every quantitative
social science department has RAships or TAships for students who are good
at statistical programming. | C*******n

Here we only use SPSS to run statistical analysis, but it does not involve
anything about programming.
