好的网站host公司。
由于是新手，我想请问一下，哪一家提供web host的公司性价比不错，比较适合于用户
多，文件量大，上载多，中国和美国访问速度都比较快的web 2.0的app阿？
一般的web host solution，要么空间太小扩展性不够，要么给的控制的权限少了些
我找到两家Rackspace和FastServers，但是感觉比较贵……

VPS is the so called dedicated server? it is expensive..

I found the dedicated server is usually expensive and without large hard
disks.

50GB space + 512M RAM + 400 GB bandwidth/month
But their server is self-managed. You gotta know how to build server and mai
ntain it.

much better than VPS with 512RAM. There is cheap dedicated server in the
price range of <50 per month. For example: http://servers.aplus.net/dedicated/single-core/celeron-1.7-ghz.html
I tested virtual machine performance at my home before on a very good server
. I was disappointed with the performance even though I only put two virtual
server on it. It even perform worse than my 8 years old machine.

think about vps.

发帖数: 26 | 13 正好刚打听过一圈儿租用主机的事。
theplanet跟他们在线销售谈谈可以打不少折，而且从全球traceroute速度都不错。
oneandone欧洲版速度不错，价格也便宜（没有theplanet打折后便宜），听说服务不行
，但是以前租过其空间觉得服务还可以，后来因为有其它问题决定还是不用，退款也很
利落。
rackspace的销售尽心尽力，可惜谈了半天打过很多折后的价格还是太贵。另外荷兰有
个leaseweb，价格还可以，而且有几种空间超大的选择，适合做youtube那样的服务的
，它的付款方式也灵活，但是按月付就很不划算。
还有一个加州的mediatemple，服务太贴心了，但是价格也偏贵，用theplanet租独立主
机的钱在那里只能租到虚拟独立主机，可能"空间太小扩展性不够"。
结论，如果在乎价格，就和theplanet的销售要个折扣，算这几家最便宜的。如果是做
视频服务，在leaseweb挑个合适的package，肯定要稍微贵点的。但是leaseweb（和
mediatemple）都可以用paypal支付，相对灵活一点八。不过都是个人参考意见。租主
机还是要先考虑要架的应用的 |
