My home server has 12G.
I did not try. But for server, I suggest you use at least 4G anyway. |

. All my sites were hosted via collocation. Home server can be better or
worse than shared hosting, depend on your requirement.

我最近也想买个homeserver
有推荐的的么？ 我的预算是 1000$以内
不知道 mac mini server 怎么样？
或者有更好的选择么？
我倾向于用 linux系统的 （ubuntu）其他的太贵了

发帖数: 2172 | 13 I normally purchase from dell. You can either purchase a tower server or
desktop. Rack mount server is too noisy for home. $1000 can get you one
machine with very good spec. Mine was purchased 5 years ago from dell at $
450 including monitor.
To my knowledge, even though ubuntu have server edition, it is normally good
for desktop. For server, I would recommend CentOs.

这个硬盘能不能自己买家用的？
还有，内存能不能买家用的自己插？ |

发帖数: 2172 | 15 SATA硬盘就是家用硬盘, 内存只要匹配了就可以了. 我都是从CRUCIAL之类的网站上买
内存升级的.
