This position is primarily responsible for the collection, compilation
and analysis of statistical data in conjunction with the implementation
of the Department of Defense Millennium Cohort Family Study. This
position will also perform analysis of the National Child Traumatic
Stress Network (NCTSN) Core Data Set providing clinical feedback for
practice improvement to NCTSN centers.
Work Performed:
Perform a variety of duties involving the application of intermediate
statistical and technical skills primarily to the design of a research
study (Department of Defense Millennium Cohort Family Study), and to the
collection, compilation and analysis of statistical data. Work includes
generation of reports, operation of systems of computer hardware and
statistical analysis software for the management of data analysis.
Function independently as a member of a research/study team. Provide
statistical input in the design, execution and analysis of
scientifically conducted studies. Participate in the development of
operations and procedures for the collection, editing, verification and
management of statistical data. Participate in developing data
collection forms for scientific studies.
Operate one or more systems of computer hardware and statistical
analysis software for the management and analysis of data (e.g., SPSS,
SAS). Be familiar with advanced multivariate models (e.g., SEM, HLM,
Event History Analysis).
Participate in the preparation of written reports and oral presentations
that summarize the analysis of data, interpret the findings and provide
conclusions and recommendations.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Required Qualifications:
Work requires a minimum of a Master's degree in statistics,
biostatistics or related field and relevant experience, or a Bachelors
degree in statistics, biostatistics or related field and 2 years
relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education
and/or work experience.
