Marketing Analyst。描述是：“This person will provide ad-hoc
data analysis and work with team members to analyze key
variables that impact email performance and list growth.”需
要"create models to optimize response"。
这个email performance咋理解？是由顾客对于email的response来决定的么？
还有一种理解就是让垃圾邮件尽可能少，把垃圾邮件过滤掉。
另外都有些啥key variable呢？

我的理解是公司会发出很多广告email来吸引顾客消费，有一部分顾客会点击广
告，点击广告的一部分顾客会买产品。目标是希望有最多的顾客买产品，希望list
growth最大(顾客增加量最多)。
email performance的建模感觉是用Logistic regression来做。target是
消费者占邮件总数的比例。然后想到这里卡壳。。。
1.都有哪些变量可能会影响email performance？
2. list growth怎么弄？

performance and list growth. They will also provide
reporting support and analysis to the business units to
help them set marketing and product management strategy.
They will be the central contact point for creating
companywide standard reporting and represent the team to
define, document and see through to implementation the
Email Strategy group’s projects.
Essential Job Functions:
*Perform exploratory data analysis and synthesize the
results into actionable information;
*Collaborate with team members to identify key variables
that impact performance and create models to optimize
response;
*Meet frequently with the business units to help them
understand product and member performance;

这个公司是干啥的。。。

For the company like amazon, they would collect lots of information from
their website. I would guess TechTarget is supposed have their own channel
or purchase data from other companies. If so, there would be surprising
detail.
It is never harm to ask them directly. It will show you want more detail and
interested in their company.
For key variables,
1. The rank of email address. Whether it is a formal email or temp one. Like
xxxx.com should be former than gmail or hotmail
2. Whether there are some online accounts link to the email?
3. What's the history of account, transaction amount and frequency.
4. What's the response time? If email sent out, how long will a customer
clicked the link, whether they would purchase product in the email?
5. Other personal info,like age, industry....
It is only my guess, hopefully it helps.

On the one hand, it is important to choose the right customers. The model is
similar to the prediction model in insurance companies. We want to predict
the customer's response according to historical data. So we can do market
segmentations for historical data, such as gender, age, salary, education,
etc. And build a Generalized Linear Model based on the customer's
information and response.
On the other hand, we may also consider something which will affect the
email response rate, such as attractive title, link to online account, etc. |

number of responses divided by number of emails sent. |

这又是一个必须先反问再回答的问题。你应该先反问在email list 里有没有附带其他
的信息，如果是除了一串email addresses什么都没有，那么能用来建模的就只有ad
email本身的内容，格式，发出时间，发出频率等等，再加上email addresses的来源（
比如说提供该email address的公司，有的公司收集到的多数是消费者的常用email
address, 有的收集到的多数是非常用的email address，另外，不同公司收集到的消费
者结构也不同，通过统计分析能告诉你买哪家的email list比较有用）。
