A simple circuit with only 5 solder balls. The circuit needs to pass at 99%.
We can design a redundant structure, that 1 ball fail but the circuit still
works. Then what is the min. passing rate for each solder ball, if every
ball has the same passing rate?

Does it mean that the circuit works when less than 2 ball fail?
If yes, then: (1-p)^5 + 5*(1-p)^4 * p = 1-0.99
%.
