We need informavores with the quantitative skills of the Heart of Gold's
infinite improbability drive, the mental dexterity of a wet-wired Watson,
and the creative drive of masterful artists like Beethoven, da Vinci and
Zappa. You need to cherish original thought with a passionate focus on
execution. We are looking for those outliers that just haven't found their
distribution yet. Finally, we absolutely need the individuals that

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (apparently we need to stop having fun
for a moment):
The statistical analyst and data modeler works with business owners and
Business Intelligence team members to provide deep analysis and guidance on
crucial business opportunities across many areas within the company. They
draw upon their knowledge and experience in applied statistics, data mining,
modeling, and forecasting to ensure that results are accurate and clear
providing actionable opportunities for business leaders. Analysts must be
detail oriented and highly aware of the impact of their analysis across the
company. They take initiative, focused on finding innovative solutions for a
myriad of business challenges.

,有人抱怨简历注水太厉害了,上面写了许多,可是问到细节就呆掉了。
所以其实简历也不需要列太多东西了。头说的我们要的是trainable的人。
然后,如果被问住了,不要panic,完全可以说,我以前做过,但是现在想不起来
所有的细节了。比如说,像我这样的弱人,被问到啥是p value的时候,我真的
一下子想不起来啦。于是我说,我想不起来了。但是rule of thumb是p
value要小,最好小于5%。
各位是不是眼镜掉了一地:这样也行?
所以心态最重要,然后是把简历上claim的所有东西的细节一定要弄明白。要是你
说有某种经历,真的会被问道很细节的东西的。不一定是书本上的细节,而是实际操作
的细节,比如说要是80%的missing value该怎么办等等。有些问题比
如说brain teaser很open的,不用太在意回答是否正确。记住我们要
的是trainable的人,有点幽默感的最好(那个雷人的JD就是我们的头写的
),没有也不用强求。
最后,我们喜欢用条件概率的难题来raise bar,有空多看看哦。
