1) Health consulting firm at Philadelphia. One of the biggest health
consulting/IT companies in this industry. Senior Manager title though no
people management in fact. 100K+. I believe things will be very much like
health economics, cost-effectiveness of drugs and brand comparisons...things
like that.
2) Mortgage security company. One super big company at Washington D.C.
Economist title. 100K + and 5K sign-on bonus. Will do some financial
modeling and reporting on home loans.
PhD in Statistics with one year experience in a small consulting company.
Any suggestions about where to go? The first choice seems to be a narrow
circle. Once getting in, it will be hard to jump out....

Anyway, I don't have formal finance background but my phd dissertation is
about financial models. They require a job talk. So, your presentation
should be something close to this field. For example, you are not
expected to give a presentation on clinical trials or survey study.

As far as I know, even you gave a presentation on clinical trials to Freddie
, they might still hire you if they like you

rather than apply for a new one.
