1. 英语需要好好polish一下, 比如应该说 solid knowledge, 而不是 acknowledge.
每一条and连接的部分要么都是名词, 要么都是形容词, 不要一会是名词(ability) 一
会是形容词(detail-oriented).
2. Skills简化一些, 什么Latex, Microsoft那些全部删去. 只捡你最熟最confident的
东西写. SQL在工业界超级有用, 如果你用的比较熟, 最好写进去. 我这些年找工作
skill只写一行 Skills: R and SQL, 仅此而已, 多写未必有好处. 总之原则就是, 要
么不写, 写的就是你超级熟的, 别让人家轻易问倒了.
3. 没有真正的Work Experience就增加一项Relevant Experience, 把你做SAS
programmer那段写进去, 还有学校里的RA啊, statistical consulting的project都写
进去. 增加一些细节, 比如用什么package, 用的什么model等等. 把这一段放在尽量靠
前.
4. Worked with Prof.Sarkar in the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster
University 这类的话没必要写. 工业界没人知道谁是Sarkar. 你写这些没提供任何有
用的信息.
写简历的原则是 Less is More. 人家review简历只有30秒的时间. 你需要做的, 是要
在30秒内impress简历的reviewer. |
