recently. My expectation before registering the classes was quite simple: I
had some experience with R, and was relatively new to Python. And let's be
realistic: it's impossible to become an experienced data scientist in just
four hour's of training. Hence I am just trying to get some exposure to real
life project with real data for R, refresh my memory for Python and
hopefully learn some useful tricks, as well as tips on how to grasp the key
features quickly.
StatsGuy is really nice and patient, always willing to answer any questions
I had. He always paused after explaining a new topic and asked for feedback,
making sure that I understood what he said. He organized the topics in a
crystal clear way in the ppt file, making it really easy to follow. We went
over real life projects in both classes step by step. I really learnt a lot
during those short four hours. And at the end, he also gave me some valuable
suggestions about possible career path as a data scientist, and shared some
opinions to the job market and working opportunities in SF bay area.
Overall I am very satisfied with both classes, personally I've probably
learnt more from the Python class, but it's only because I don't know that
much about Python coming into the class. The R class is equally good and I
benefit a lot from it too. Bottom line: It's really hard to find training
classes online that charge you $35/hour at this quality. I would strongly
recommend statsGuy's Python and R classes to anyone, and will probably take
his classes again if new topics come up in the near future, which I am
really looking forward to. :) Keep up the good work man! |
