There is a reason why Nokia and Symbian has a negligible market share in the
USA.
U.S. administration sees mobile phones as a "strategic industry" and has "
instructed" operators not to offer Nokia mobiles with a subsidy.
I have as well heard that Nokia refused to install a spy function in their
mobiles, which Apple and Google happily did and now the two are lobbied by U
.S. "diplomats" all over the world (in the same manner as was done with Visa
