The index is bullish as the 30 day moving average of 1,392.76 is above 120
day moving average of 1,314.98. The last cross over happened on Nov 18,
2011 with the direction of up.
If the index is breaking down and goes below 1,358.79, we should consider
it as a short term sale signal.If the index is breaking out and goes above
1,392.76, we should consider it as a short term buy signal.

the cross already occured quite some time ago?

% higher than immediate term sma. That is not much if you compare it to 1999
~2000 period.
