Jim,
It would be nice if you would quote the correct figures for Belviq. You keep
claiming that Qnexa is more effective than Belviq. No one knows that until
the FDA makes it's ruling.
VVUS recommended the Mid dose be approved for Qnexa, not the top dose which
shows a higher weight loss percentage.
Given the fact that the FDA is concerned that 5 people had heart attacks
during the Qnexa trials, there were no heart attacks on the placebo side.
The FDA is also concerned about increased heart rate and the well documented
birth defects attributed to Topirimate. It is highly unlikely the FDA would
even consider approving the top dose of Qnexa.
Belviqs MEDIAN weight loss is 8.75% percent of body weight, not the 5% that
you have been quoting.
Qnexas Mid dose efficacy is right in line with Belviqs 8.75% weight loss.
Where the two differ dramatically, is in the side effects. There are already
law firms advertising for clients of Qnexa and the drug isn't even
available yet.
No one says you have to like ARNA or it's shareholders, but it would be nice
if you at least told the truth. | a******e
