SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Amazon.com Inc. /quotes/zigman/63011/quotes/
nls/amzn AMZN -1.41% on Thursday reported a fiscal second-quarter profit of
$7 million, or a penny a share, on revenue of $12.83 billion. During the
same period a year ago, the online retailer earned $191 million, or 41 cents
a share on $9.9 billion in sales. Analysts surveyed by FactSet Research had
forecast Amazon to earn a penny a share on $12.9 billion in sales for the
