The stock leaps from 7.56->10 between12/13/2012 and 1/17/2013. There was a
pull back in the past week and the current price is 9.23, -4.15% drop today
with the news that its competitor Hasbro's profit shortfalls and a suspect
that the toy industry shortfall during holiday season. However, I believe
with quite a few products on top seller lists and kids are moving from toys
to tabs. It's not that the parents are not buying gifts. It's that parents
are buying cool tabs.
Plus, lf beat analysts' estimates 7 quarters in a row. Leappad was totally
sold out during christmas on Amazon and other stores. Among 9 analysts
following lf, there are 2 strong buys, 4 buys, and 3 holds.
