I personally think it is a very creative design albeit the unconventional
look. It proves AAPL is still a company which does innovation.
Most people ignored iOS in car. Considering the user base of iPhone, a lot
of people might be interested to see the integration of iOS in their cars.
That is the exact reason why AAPL wants to develop their own in house Map
and release it even it sucks. They have very clear direction to expand their
ECO system. My guess is that they plan to improve their Map and location
service system, then include the SIRI and work with those car makers to
build something great.
Besides, can you imagine a company as big and creative as AAPL really not
able to introduce any new products for more than a year? That means they are
spending time to research and design. The more time is spent on these phase
, the better the product will be.
If you can only see iPhone, it is just because your understanding of AAPL is
very narrow.
