It's still only the early innings, but Goldman Sachs thinks J.C. Penney's (
JCP +6.6%) turnaround is about where it thought it would be in this stage of
the game.
The investment firm says improvements in the retailer's online business and
momentum in the sale of home goods are two trends to watch.
Turning sales positive in October was a good start, but J.C. Penney needs a
strong holiday season to keep cash flow issues from cropping up, notes
analysts.
