, classified as permanently reinvested abroad and therefore will not subject
to U.S. tax rates. If they bring back their cash to the U.S. to buy back
shares, they will pay the difference between the low international rate and
the high U.S. rate, which is even more expensive than borrowing. So, this
does not create big issues for multinationals because everybody knows that
they have cash, just trapped overseas. |
