1. its technology is proprietary, no outsider knows how the technology works
. In 2013, Google Venture looked into investing in Theranos... send one
person in the team into Walgreens to check out the Theranos lab testing...
basically came back not impressed and sensed something fishy going on.
2. For a tech company in computer-related industry, a college drop-out as
your founder is a prerequisite. Computer science is based on the simple
foundation --- a transistor and two numbers (0,1), you don't need formal
advanced education to be successful. For medical science, considering the
complexity of human body... it takes a career of studying, learning,
researching and experimenting to accumulate the experience you will need
just to have a chance to be successful. Having a Stanford drop-out in
Theranos' case is a plus or a minus? you make up your own judgement here.
3. Theranos' composition of Board... you will be shocked when you found out.
4. Ms. Holmes has a pretty face... but you will change your mind when you
hear her voice.
5. Ms. Holmes' defense against WSJ accusations has no real substance. |

疗的要是没干货会死的很难看。参见各种药股，fda approval没拿到就离完蛋不远了。
